Prof. Dr. Christoph Lienau, seit 2006 Hoch-
schullehrer für Experimentalphysik, hat
den Ruf auf die Professur für Nanophysik
an die Universität Münster abgelehnt.
Lienau wird seine Forschungsarbeiten
zur ultraschnellen Nano-Optik in Olden-
burg fortsetzen. Lienau studierte Physik
in Göttingen, wo er 1992 promovierte.
Anschließend arbeitete er zwei Jahre lang
als Research Fellow bei dem Nobelpreisträger Prof. Ahmed H.
Zewail am California Institute of Technology, Pasadena (USA).
1995 wechselte Lienau an das Max-Born-Institut (Berlin) in
den Bereich von Prof. Dr. Thomas Elsässer, mit dem er For-
schungsaktivitäten in dem noch neuen Feld der„Ultraschnel-
len Nanooptik“ initiierte. Im Jahr 2003 habilitierte er sich an
der Humboldt-Universität Berlin. In Oldenburg leitet er die
Arbeitsgruppe „Ultraschnelle Nano-Optik“. Zudem ist er seit
2009 Direktor des Instituts für Physik.
Prof.Dr. Christoph Lienau, a lecturer in experimental physics at
the University since 2006, has turned down the post of Profes-
sor of Nanophysics at the University of Münster to continue
his research in the field of "ultrafast nano-optics" at Oldenburg.
Lienau studied physics in Göttingen, where he received his
PhD in 1992.He went on to work as a research fellow for Nobel
laureate Professor Ahmed H. Zewail at the California Institute
of Technology, Pasadena (USA). In 1995 he transferred to the
Max Born Institute in Berlin to work with Prof.Dr.Thomas Elsäs-
ser, with whom he began research into what at the time was
the new field of "ultrafast nano-optics". In 2003 he earned his
habilitation at Berlin's Humboldt University. At Oldenburg he
heads the "Ultrafast Nano-Optics" working group and has also
been director of the Institute of Physics since 2009.
Prof. Dr. Paul Mecheril hat den Ruf auf die
Professur für Interkulturelle Bildung am In-
stitut für Pädagogik angenommen.Meche-
ril hat in Trier, Bielefeld,Wien und Münster
Psychologie und Philosophie studiert. Er
promovierte 1991 an der Universität Mün-
ster in Psychologie und habilitierte sich
2001 an der Universität Bielefeld im Fach
Erziehungswissenschaft mit einer Arbeit
zumThema„(Mehrfach-)Zugehörigkeiten in der Migrationsge-
sellschaft“.Vor seiner Berufung an die Universität Oldenburgwar
Mecheril als Professor am Institut für Erziehungswissenschaften
der Universität Innsbruck (Österreich) tätig.Zu seinen Lehr- und
Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören dieThemenMigration und
Bildung, Interkulturelle Pädagogik, Rassismusforschung und
Pädagogische Professionalität.
Prof. Dr. Paul Mecheril has been appointed Professor of In-
tercultural Education at the Institute of Education. Professor
Mecheril studied psychology and philosophy inTriers,Bielefeld,
Vienna and Münster. He received his PhD in psychology from
the University of Münster in 1991 and went on to habilitate
in educational sciences at the University of Bielefeld with a
paper on "(Multi-)Affiliations in Immigration Societies". Prior
to his appointment as professor at the University of Olden-
burg,Mecheril was a professor at the Institute for Educational
Sciences, University of Innsbruck (Austria). His teaching and
research focuses on immigration and education, intercultural
pedagogics, racism research and professionalism in teaching.
PD Dr. Ulrike-Marie Krause hat den Ruf auf
die Professur für Bildungswissenschaften
angenommen. Krause studierte Psycho-
logie und Erziehungswissenschaft an der
Universität Hamburg.SiewarWissenschaft-
liche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität Mün-
chen, wo sie über das Thema „Feedback
und kooperatives Lernen“ promovierte.An-
schließend arbeitete sie inder Fachrichtung
Bildungswissenschaften an der Universität des Saarlandes.Dort
habilitierte sie mit einer Arbeit über die„Förderung komplexer
Kompetenzen“ und vertrat im Wintersemester 2008/2009 die
Professur für Empirische Schul- und Unterrichtsforschung. Zu
Krauses Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen die Empirische Bil-
dungsforschung sowie die Lehr- und Lern-Forschung.
Dr.Ulrike-Marie Krause has been appointed Professor of Educa-
tion Sciences. Krause studied psychology and educational sci-
ence at the University of Hamburg.Shewas a research associate
at the University of Munich,where she obtained her PhDwith a
thesis on "Feedback and Cooperative Learning". She then went
on to work at Saarland University's department of education
sciences where she received her habilitation with a paper on
the "Research of Complex Competences" and acted as substi-
tute for the professor of empirical school and lesson research
in the winter semester 2008/2009.Krause's research focuses on
empirical education and teaching and learning research.
